Getting Started with LiveVideo Xpress

A Guide to Getting the Most Out of Your Upload Manager

Thanks for downloading and installing LiveVideo Xpress. The following is a step-by-step instructional walkthrough which will inform you on how to use the basic features of the upload manager.

Step 1:
Open LiveVideo Xpress. Once opened, the login screen (Figure 1) will appear. Type your LiveVideo username and password into the appropriate boxes and hit the "Login" button on the lower right hand corner to continue.

Step 2:
After a successful log in, you will see the upload videos tab (Figure 2) . The upload videos tab is exactly like the web-based upload form, so if you know how to use that, you can skip reading this part.

To begin a new upload, enter in all the required information in the appropriate boxes, such as a title and description. Once you've filled out this info, you're ready to hit the "Continue" button you see in the lower right corner. Hit the button to move on to the next step.

Step 3:
After you hit the continue button, you will see the second part of the upload screen (Figure 3) . Next you will chose which file you want to upload by hitting the "Browse" button. Once you hit this button, it will bring up the explorer screen where you will be required to navigate to where the file you want to upload is saved; select the file, and hit "Save" to continue. You will now have to choose the various options, such as making your file public or private, and so on. After selecting your preferences, hit the "Upload My Video" button to continue.

NOTE: Keep in mind that you will only be able to upload supported file types (.avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .mov, .dvr-ms, .mpe, .mp4, .mp2, .asx, .asf, .wmv, .3g2, .flv, and .divx).

Step 4:
After you hit the "Upload My Video" button, you are taken to the Status tab (Figure 4) . This is where you manage your current uploads. In the "Filename" box is a list of all current uploads, regardless of if they are running, scheduled, or paused. Once you add a file, if no other uploads are running, it will automatically begin uploading. If you want to pause the upload, select the appropriate file by clicking on it, and then hit the "Pause" button. Hit "Resume" to unpause your upload. The bottom window shows the status of your uploads. Click the "Upload More Videos" to return you to upload tab. The "Clear All" button is used to remove all uploads, even those currently uploading, so be careful when using this button.
